With
the two train opertion timetable it meant that the shed talks were almost
continuous at times. Here is just one group listening intently to the
information about the railway and the area. 29/06/03. |

During
last week Richard Shipman took time out to clean and buff up the handles
on the lever frame. The four in the foreground show what they should look
like. The others will be done soon too. 29/06/03. |
 |
Sunday
29th saw another brilliant day of sunshine, many visitors and as can be
seen here, Adrian Britchford and David Price propel a waggon towards the
shed to await an opportunity to get it inside for Adrian to complete some
welding work. 29/06/03. |

While
"off duty" driver Mike Davies takes an opportunity for a bacon

To
show that it was not all hard work this particular weekend, with grateful
thanks to Meinir Coleman many of the operational and event staff enjoyed
an (almost) end of event evening at the Dulas Valley Hotel. Here David
Coleman shares a joke or two with Meinir (just hidden) Jan and Councillor
Gretta Jones. 28/06/03. |

Richard
Greenhough, Geoff Dunn and Bryn Morgan spent some time on Saturday morning
erecting a chestnut fence to tidy up and provide protection from the gap
between the car park and the West shed wall. 24/05/03 |
 |
When
the chestnut fencing was finished they turned their attention to joining
the permanent track of the North Loop Siding to the temporary
track to the south to provide storage space for rolling stock currently not
in service. 24/05/03 |
 |
Another
tank was collected from the permanent way dump and stored in the ballast
siding ready to hold water for our June events. 24/05/03 |
 |
In
between train services Roger Holder mixed a mortar mix to provide flashing
for the joint between the S & T roof and the South shed wall. 24/05/03 |
 |
Steve
Wheeler can be seen here sealing the joint between the S & T roof and
the South shed wall. 24/05/03 |
 |
David
Coleman was one of several volunteers during the weekend who turned their
hand to helping to prepare Carriage 21 for service and can be seen here
rubbing down the seats. 26/05/03 |
 |
Adrian
Britchford made a start on the fabrication of the buffer beams for
Carriage 21. 26/05/03 |
 |
The
new toilet facilities at Maespoeth also received attention from Steve
Wheeler who plastered the walls with a rendering mix. 26/05/03 |
 |
The
Pelton Wheels were collected from Corris as one of the last jobs of the
weekend. 26/05/03 |
 |
Jill
Oxford replanted the flowers and shrubs on Maespoeth Platform to provide
colour for the June events and beyond. 26/05/03 |
 |
During
the last few weeks work has also taken place at the North end of the car
park at Maespoeth in readiness for mains water to be provided. 26/05/03 |
 |
Of
course we mustn't forget that we also ran a full passenger timetable over
the three days too!. 26/05/03 |
 |
Prior
to passenger services commencing on the Saturday morning we had a fair few
tar planings to move off the ballast dock ..... 03/05/03 |

so that we could take delivery of a load of ballast. (A good half of this
newly-delivered ballast had already been loaded when this photograph was
taken). 03/05/03 |
|

|
While
passenger services were running, a working party moved the buffer stop
from Brynllwyd Crossing to the end of the new loop/siding at Maespoeth.

Peter
Guest also started the construction of the picket fence at the rear of the
