b
The four bogie side plates supplied and profiled by Goodman Metal Works Ltd
c
Over the following weekend the side plates are drilled to take fixings, cross stretchers, spring mountings and keep plates. Each plate has 26 holes 16mm in diameter, these are being drilled with a portable magnetic based drill, a really useful piece of equipment. Unfortunately the Railway only owns one which is constantly in use at Maespoeth. The drill in the picture has kindly been loaned for the weekend. If anyone has a spare Ł400.00 we would love to have a second “Mag Drill” of our own.
