Easter egg hunt for young visitors to the Corris Railway

On Easter Sunday and Monday, April 16th and 17th, children who visit the Corris Railway will be able to look out for Easter eggs and take part in a trail with prizes at the end.

The eggs will be large cardboard ones positioned between Corris station and Maespoeth Junction. As well as spotting them the children will have a quiz to follow and when they return to Corris they will receive a prize. Meanwhile adults will have the opportunity to look around the Museum at Corris where amongst the other exhibits there is a model of the proposed future development of the station site for which fund raising is underway. At Maespoeth there is a tour of the workshops to learn something of the history of the oldest narrow gauge railway in Mid Wales. There is also time to see the work being done on the construction of the new carriages as the volunteer work force continues with the revival of the Corris Railway.

Light refreshments are available and there is a sales area at Corris station. The first steam train will leave Corris at 11.00 a.m. and after that there will be hourly departures until the final train departs at 4.00 p.m.
