    Gosh, the vestibule of carriage 23 looks so handsome, and great to see Les build the new retaining wall (with truly vertical perpends) and the use of slate dust. Were course slate chips ever used with ash as ballast at Corris? Loco. ash was very common as line ballast in the nineteenth century.
    I suspect the new wall would make a press release as there cannot be many heritage railways building much at present?

    PS a long term armchair member who has admired and avidly follows these Corris photo. updates. Not all heritage railways publish these and of the those that do, very few in the current crisis. Thank you so very much.
