Air brake equipment fills one bunker - we are trying not to remove this.
The dome cover and safety valves are now on the shelf.
The cab hangs around waiting for a lift.
Safely positioned on its support frame. The shelves behind are beginning to fill up.
Our cab-less loco is pushed back into the shed passing the boiler cradle (yellow ends)...
...and it's cab on the flat wagon.
Now the tank has been removed exposing unpainted primer.
The new hoist makes easy work of the tank.
Much lighter now the loco is shunted back into the shed to have its cladding removed.
The coal bunker is now also on the flat wagon.
Underneath the cladding and the lagging the boiler looks to be in good condition.
New shed lighting is being fitted so that we can see to do all the remaining tasks.
The boiler's number is visible on the barrel.
The smoke box door and all fittings have been removed. The next phase will be the removal of the tubes. This should start next week.
