What is going on here? Number 7 is being lit up outside the Carriage Shed.
On a Friday too!
There are tools and torches inside the shed.
There is an audience...
...and Ifor is doing something under the coaches
There is limited headroom under Coach 21...
...but a new brake valve is being fitted under there.
After a successful shed test of the new valves Patrick drops the fire on Number 7 before it is towed back to its normal operational area.
Then the coaches are propelled up to the platform so that line tests can be carried out.
By Sunday new lines have been drawn on the brake control valve. More fun for the drivers.
