Tuesday, 2.9.14. It’s a nice sunny day, and some of the Tuesday gang want to play trains in the sun …

…and it looks like they have already been engaging in a bit of shunting ….

…while placing items in store for the winter!

Before long, a pick-up arrives carrying gifts from afar …

…but it does not take long to start unloading a new gantry …

…carefully …

…and placing the components on a waggon …

…so that it can be …

…shunted into the far end of the Engine Shed.

Tony has done a good job, trimming the railway side of the roadside hedge …

…while the refurbished heritage waggon components have been painted in undercoat.

Friday, 5.9.14. Signs have been dismantled …

…barrows lined up …

…copious equipment brought into the Carriage Shed …

…and fresh tape spun out …

…which must mean Mr. Saffery is about!

Saturday, 6.9.14. Alf explains our proposals for the reconstruction of Corris station to a Museum visitor …

…while Jill unpacks a delivery of books.

Meanwhile, Richard and Trefor peer into the gloom at the top of one side of the new gantry in the Engine Shed …

…supervised by brothers Patrick and Graham!

Sunday, 7.9.14. Dick calls into the shed to check progress with the gantry installation.

Outside, the area in front of the Engine Shed has (at last!) been cleared of debris.

Passengers make their way back to the train …

…which soon departs under the shade of the oak tree north of the shed.

Two Richard’s (they had a different interpretation!) in deep discussion …

…before the gantry board is changed. Only 109 days to Christmas!
