Saturday, 14.7.2018. With a very brown mountain behind, and no meaningful rain for over a month, No. 11 runs round to work passenger trains today as a fire precaution …

… but there is a small problem, so No. 6 takes the next train while Trefor works on No. 11 …

… and then tests it on a run down the bank.

Soon, all is back to normal, with No. 11 taking the next train while Trefor goes back to undertaking maintenance work on No. 7 (in the shed) …

… but a coach party is due, so No. 7 is put on display in the sun as Trefor oils around.

Sunday, 15.7.2018. The sun briefly disappears but it is still hot, with No. 7 put on display throughout the day and No. 11 running trains.

Monday, 16.7.2018. At last! Some meaningful rain which gets surface water running.

Thursday, 19.7.2018. On Tuesday, exhibits and displays had been removed from in front of windows in the Museum in Corris …

… so that replacement windows could be put in. All white?

By evening, all had been fitted and looked the part from the inside …

… and out.

Friday, 20.7.2018. The contractors return to finish off inside, so that displays can be put back …

… leaving some intact windows for potential use elsewhere.

Also on Tuesday, one of the (rotten) Heritage waggon underframes was partially dismantled at Maespoeth …

… and space cleared ready to receive timber to make a new underframe.

Saturday, 21.7.2018. No. 6 is prepared for working passenger trains today.

Sunday, 22.7.2018. Ah, that smells far better! No. 7 is prepared for its first steaming for some weeks (due to fire precautions) …

… and looks resplendent in the bright sunshine!

Stevie stands to one side as No. 6 brings up the passenger carriages ready for the day ...

… at the end of which, No. 5 runs up to Corris to collect arisings from vegetation clearance …

… and soon returns, fully loaded.
