... even if Poppy's birthday nameboard was largely lost in steam!

Meanwhile, good progress was being made on carriage No. 24 by a number of volunteers throughout the weekend.

In the evening, members assembled in the Corris Institute for the Annual General Meetings.

Sunday, 23.10.2022. Today was a day of further meetings, for which Y Mochyn dressed appropriately!

Monday, 24.10.2022. Good progress was being made on slating the waggon shelter roof ...

... from both sides ...

... while yesterday, some seat frames were assembled in carriage No. 24, and more glazing completed.

Tuesday, 25.10.2022. The newly fitted spring buffers and surrounding steelwork on van No. 204 received black paint ...

... and the waggon wheels destined to be fitted under the Drop Side Waggon, were cleaned up ready for paint.

Robin was working on fitting the window frames in the clerestory of carriage No. 24 ...

... while outside, ballast was delivered ...

... and a start had been made on the ridge of the Waggon Shelter.

Thursday, 27.10.2022. The rebuilding of the wall in Corris is progressing ...

... and the Waggon Shelter roof is finished ...

... and has been inspected!

Sunday, 30.10.2022. Y Mochyn changes outfits for Halloween.

Work is in progress in Corris ...

... where Jack has loaded the waggon loaned by the TR with ballast, and eases it forward with No. 6 while Ben controls the waggon discharge and Simon (and others) pack ...

... until all the track centre has been ballasted ...

... so that for the next loads, the waggon is run-round ...

... to give ready access to the side discharge controls at the other end of the waggon ...

... to produce an even result.

It is then back to Maespoeth, where the tipper waggons are filled in turn in the gathering gloom ...

Tuesday, 2.11.2022. ... ready for additional work at a later date.

The TR have arrived to collect their ballast waggon ...
