Sunday, 27.10.2024. The workshop area looks quite open plan prior to the works about to be carried out.
Looking towards the Maespoeth Yard end, work starts on fitting the battens and fixings to accomodate the new wall and door.
John takes great care in getting the door jambs just right to accept the door hinges.
Talk about teamwork. Ian, John and James work on the wall fixings and the preparation for the hinges for the door.
Seen from the top of the access steps from the car park, final adjustments are made to the two-way hinges.
With the yard end finished what a huge difference it makes to have a wall and access door in place. On the left you can see the insulation that has also been fitted.
From outside the workshop the new wall and door on the workshop area really looks the part.
At the other end with all hinge adjustments completed and the door fitted in place and with a coat of paint on most of the outer wall of the workshop - It looks like the wall and door have been there all the time. The wall is in fact hinged itself so that long lengths of metal for machining can be accomodated.
