Tuesday, 8.4.2025. No. 6 propels a waggon up the Upper Corris branch siding ...

... loaded with components from No. 7, to be collected for transport to Keef's for attention. Unfortunately, the arranged transport failed to appear.

Phil has made a new brake shaft to go under a Heritage waggon - in consistent materials.

Wednesday, 9.4.2025. Vince (from Keef's), checks his digits to make a start on re-tubing No. 7's boiler, but due to unforeseen circumstances, his assistant was unable to attend, so Vince had to postpone the work ...

... departing just before the transport promised yesterday turned up - which was quickly loaded and sent on its way.

Saturday, 12.4.2025. The second train of the day departs from Maespoeth, a week before the normal start of services at Easter.

Upon its return, No. 10 runs around ...

... and by late afternoon, a happy footplate crew clean up before departing site.

Wednesday, 16.4.2025. In Hastings, a Tattoo look-a-like is trial steamed.

Saturday, 19.4.2025. No. 10 coasts down-grade on a run towards Maespoeth ...

... and again - on a later train.

Upon arrival at Maespoeth, No. 10 runs around ...

... before heading back up to Corris.

Meanwhile in the Carriage Shed, Zach re-fixes recently varnished components inside carriage No. 24 ...

... after a session where Andy and Zach fitted windows to the carriage ...

... with a new bedding arrangement (which will need trimming back once dry).

Nearby, Ade has been working on the revised brake arrangement on this Heritage Waggon.

In the engine shed a rig is set up to anneal the tubes ,,, (ID)

... ready for insertion into the boiler (ID)

A possible trip hazard has been identified and ... (ID)

... a suitable step has been fabricated ... (ID)

... and fits in nicely with the barrier fixings ... (ID)

... so that when the barrier is in place a safe and brightly coloured step is quite evident. (ID)
