Tuesday, 17.2.2026. The stock normally on a "headshunt" (the pre-1948 main line) has been removed to give unfettered access to the hedge cutters ...

... as Bill and Peter remove the damaged gate from the South Platform to the lower yard ...

... and start dismantling it for repairs.

Monday, 23.2.2026. The new crane in the Machine Shop has been installed and arrangements are in hand to grout in the base.

Tuesday, 14.2.2026. The hedge-cutters have arrived to deal with our roadside frontage.

Saturday, 28.2.2026. Peter is firing up No. 10 for its steam test (successfully passed) while Graham Morris passes components to Trefor, who is working on our workshop compressor.

Sunday, 1.3.2026. New brake blocks for loco No. 11 have had patterns made, been cast and delivered.

Tuesday, 3.3.2026. James makes up a new gate for the South Platform ...

... while Peter has cleaned up the air pump oil can, re-soldered it (to remove leaks), and has just painted it again, ready for use.

Sunday, 8.3.2026. Jay and Ryder are putting in prodigious hours to install a new internal telephone exchange in a less vulnerable location and refurbish our CCTV network - a task to occupy them for another month!

Tuesday, 10.3.2026. Larger hedge clippings are collected ...

... while Bill and James trim the Signal Box door to ease access when it gets wet!

Wednesday, 11.3.2026. After fitting the new gate fabricated by Bill and James, Peter paints it.

Friday, 13.3.2026. Phil is in the process of fitting new bearings to the air compressor - it runs a lot quieter now!

Tuesday, 17.3.2026. Kath and Chris relax in the sun over a 'paned with Peter, after fixing the "Corris" board at that station, following refurbishment of that and other boards by them over the winter.

Friday, 20.3.2026 - Training / Refresher Weekend. Participants listen as a brief over-view of the weekend is given.

Saturday, 21.3.2026. No. 11 heads for Corris after No. 6 had brought the passenger carriages up from their Shed.

No. 10 is steamed and is taking water while the passenger train is up the line.

Bill collects the Train Staff from the driver of No. 10 as he runs around his train.

In Corris, Trefor enjoys the ride with No. 10 on the traverser, as it is moved across.

At the end of the day, No. 6 takes the carriages down to their Shed while No. 10's ashpan is emptied, and it is refuelled.

Wednesday, 25.3.2026. Vince from Keef's waves his big stick as he, Trefor and others work on rebuilding locomotive No. 7 ...

Thursday, 26.3.2026. ... but is he sure of his measurements?

By the evening, the wheels are back under the loco - temporarily. They will have to come out again to allow various modifications to be undertaken.

The RAF make a close inspection of progress.

Tuesday, 31.3.2026. Full interlocking is fitted to the lever frame in Maespoeth Signal Box ...
