Corris Nostalgia by Gwyn Briwnant Jones.
“When the Corris Railway closed in 1948 there was no way of knowing that a small group of young and enthusiastic volunteers would transform the situation and reverse the closure process in the years to come.
Much has been achieved by the Corris Railway Society towards the resurrection of this iconic and much loved line.
This title details the story of the line from the days of operation right up to the present day in 2015 with the addition of new diesel locomotive No 11 and the completion of the exquisite Corris Coach No 22.”.
This latest and most excellent book from Gwyn Briwnant Jones contains an engaging mix of miscellany based on the Corris, and includes quite a number of recent photos.
It’s chapters are entitled:
There is a Foreword by Corris Railway Society member Richard Saffery. It is 68pp., card covers with a mix of illustrations throughout in B&W/monochrome and colour. Most of the illustrations have not been seen before, and what is more, Gwyn has named a lot of those who appear.
