    Thank you very much, especially for the overviews of the extension earthworks, which show the progress this year.. How much further fill is needed to raise the embankment to the final levels? It looks like four to five metres. Will most of the trees along the old railway boundary line be kept?

      Thank you for your comments Robert. At the Southern end the fill required is about up to the shoulders of David. Because of the need for tipping, laying, levelling, compacting and with drainage being put at every opportunity coupled with geotextile sheeting the project is very weather dependant, as you might expect. Yes, trees are being left in situ – if only to provide what will now be the Western boundary line as opposed to the Eastern boundary line as it used to be.
