2016 Photograph Archive

Photographs taken between 14th & 16th August 2016

Sunday, 14.8.2016. No. 9 poses with two Heritage waggons at Maespoeth …
… during the Pirate Weekend …
… with its special menu …

… legless characters …
… and shifty characters …
… which includes the driver of No. 6!

Sue has set up a victuals store …
… with a sign that it is a bit rough around the edges!
All is ready for miscreants to Walk the Plank ...

… at the point of a flintlock pistol (if necessary)!
No. 7 is suitably decorated for the day …
… as are various members – the only snag being – with two eye patches – that Steve could not find his shoes!

Ben picks on Steve in an unfair fight …
… and Tom tries his hand at some of the deck games …
… before Steve stops everything by revealing his shirt!

Helen re-starts the entertainment by getting out her squeeze box …
… by playing sea shanties with compulsory dancing on the platform!
Derek entertained royally, spinning yarns and explaining the origins of sailor’s tattoo’s (much appreciated) …

… while the rest of the crew relaxed! All in all, a very good weekend.
Monday, 15.8.2016. A magnificently sunny day, with Alan calling on No. 7 …
… to join its train, waiting in the North Platform.

It is a very hot day, even the sheep are sheltering!
Passengers make their way to re-join their train …
… after Steve pushes coal down in the bunker.

Oh, dear! Double trouble as two Chris’ greet the train!
It was Alan’s birthday …
… as he explained to some of the passengers at Maespoeth.

The last train (ecs) heads back to Maespoeth ...
… where Richard has arrived – and Steve takes a shine to some brass candlesticks!
Tuesday, 16.8.2016. Alan and Richard prepare for services …
